world log: diary of changes

I made this place in 2013, more than nine lives ago. eventually I’ll dig out old archives and pages like time capsules. but for now, here are some aspirations & notes of recent progress.

    I don’t know how many years it’s been since I’ve had a “services” page. I just made this public, while I continue working on the sub-pages.

  • inspiration library page (2.12.24)
    I’ve been wanting to start an “inspiration library” for a long time now — as a way of more actively digesting culture. today I felt super backlogged from inspiration I wanted to share, so I made a super rough and ugly draft 1.0 of this page. now it exists.

  • Donations page 🍄
    creative ways of watering my world: plant seeds, water, battery packs. make buttons for this & sprinkle.

  • Artist friends garden 🍄
    ongoing contributions -> email existing patrons & make a digital garden for them.

  • About page (ongoing?) 🌑
    start super minimalist? making it ongoing? what I have is soooo outdated. this is super long time coming.

  • Zine page 🍄
    a way of showcasing zines and offering subscriptions.

  • Magic shop 🍄

    a vessel to hold all sorts of things. creations for my boutique alchemy shop. (first thing: zines)

  • House on the webs 🍄
    totally rebirth this experience + landing page > rethink its home.

  • Community (Microgardens) 🍄
    need a delightful “front gate” landing page experience for this. start minimal.

  • Invention shop 🍄

    a variation on donations page, but filled with artist child’s inventions.

  • Web magic (?) 🍄

    not sure how it’ll be different than magic shop.

  • A new typeface (?) 🌑
    not sure yet.

DE-CLUTTERING & SORTING

  • Make "Series” Collections
    think about how to organize my ideas as collections or series — world-building, energy studies, vision, etc. do they each need their own page? how to make traveling through them as frictionless as possible, AND help me look at each as a “pod” of sorts?

  • General de-cluttering & clean-up
    I have over 400 pages (not even including the archives and individual posts), most of which are hidden.

    1. move “poetry as prayer” collection from cover pages to real pages.

    2. delete unused pages — or make them into time capsules

  • Move art into same URL section in - “archives”
    dig up lost sheep I made a gazillion years ago and let it rejoin the herd.

  • Footer index
    definitely need to reorganize things here.

  • Curated collection?

    think about curating a small, mixed-media collection for my “about” or “start here?” or “recently?”

  • “Recently” navigation links

    make a more convienent way to travel straight from “recently” — sorting into categories?

  • Newsletter sign-up

    what I have now is fine in that it works - but I want it to be (a) more visible and (b) more magical. also. a newsletter welcome flow.
