the dream room

we must always give ourselves the room to dream. thus, the dream room — is a place occupied by magic and an airy imagination; a place where we believe that anything is possible, that there are no limits: not our fears, nor anxieties, not the “reality,” nor the present circumstances. all of those things make the dream room disappear, and we find ourselves choked by the feeling of lack and limitation.

but the dream room is not a place for lofty, worldly ambitions — “one day, I will have accomplished X, be recognized as Y, made Z amount of money” — because those things are heavy with a need for something (fame, money, validation) that cannot coexist with the ethereal lightness of the dream room. the dream room knows no insecurity. no lack. no urgency. those energies make the room disappear.

how do we enter the dream room?

through two internal personas: the inner child & the lover.

we must learn how to follow the inner child. we listen to her inklings of curiosity, imagination, feelings of possibility. we put an ear against the earth and listen intently — to what wants to be born. to what wants to be explored, touched, created.

the inner child knows how to play in the dream room. the inner child wanders in there without a map, and would stay in there all day, if she could.

or, we follow the inner lover. the lover who has nothing to lose, and only worlds upon worlds to discover. the lover who follows only passion and beauty — and a desire for deep connection. a lover who has everything to give; an endlessness of internal wealth.

we must become our own lovers for the dream that is our life.

thus, in the dream room, all things are born.

but first, we must find the safety and courage within ourselves — to dare enter.
