luna sleeping - position no. 1 - one armed crescent
this is my first drawing of luna. luna sleeping as a one-armed crescent moon — and drawing luna sleeping, i’m sure, will be a drawing exercise i’ll do many times, again and again. the thing with drawing an animal is that they change positions, and so a drawing can only be done in five, or ten minutes at a time. luna sleeps very lightly, with her ears perked, as if always listening. and if i want to sneak out of the room without her noticing, i have to tip toe, very quietly, as if trying not to wake up a baby.
