little clay birds
I made these clay birds for my flatmates for Christmas — from clay, old wrapping paper (bicycle and roses), and rocks and twigs I picked up at the park. there was something in the lightness of birds that enchanted me. as if, by putting them into form, one day they would fly off the rocks and away. I’ve made very little animal related art, but somehow, this forest room in Berlin inspires me to fill it with animal company. different animals as extensions of myself — as parts of my soul. I’m thinking next is a tiger.
